Our Founders

Andrew John Bennett

“Once we know and are aware, we are responsible for our action and our inaction. We can do something about it or ignore it. Either way, we are still responsible.” – Jean Paul SartreAndrew_profile picture_2014

Andrew has an inherent desire to connect the dots…. to understand the relationships between things… and to share his insights with others. He thinks that whoever we are and whatever we do (at work or play), we have an opportunity to be simultaneously making the world a better place for ourselves and everyone else.

Andy Le May

Andy’s first degree was in computer science and he worked in the UK IT environment for 16 years. At the end of 2004 he was Marketing Director for a UK PLC, a nice position, prospects and salary but it wasn’t enough. He then became aware of the serious social and environmental issues occurring in the world and felt he had to try and do something about them. Andy likes to fix things and this set him on a very interesting journey…

“Sustainability is about protecting our future.  It is a new way of thinking that affects every single part of our society. We need to reinvent much of what we do. This should be seen as an enjoyable challenge and an amazing opportunity for all”

Andy has travelled and worked extensively around the Africa and Asia promoting cultural immersion, empathy and personal development. This included running teams of volunteers working in Sri Lanka after the Tsunami, organising NGO’s to put on a children’s festivals in war torn areas, giving talks and lectures and encouraging participation through the creation of short films promoting volunteering on social & environmental community projects… more
