Owners and managers of commercial and public buildings in Cape Town are invited to attend the next meeting of the Energy Efficiency Forum. The Forum aims to provide practical know–how to implement energy efficiency improvements, and to create a platform for collective action and shared learning.

Introduction to a new website resource for large power users to find out more about local ESCOS which can help with their energy efficiency initiatives.

International property analysts and leading property benchmarking organisation IPD (International Property Database) will share global trends in energy and environmental benchmarking, how this affects local property owners and managers, and how it can be used in ‘green leasing’.

Mini-workshop on how Green Leasing could work in Cape Town.
Short presentations and a structured discussion on ‘green leasing’. Including: tools, international and local experience so far, and how it can be best applied in Cape Town/South Africa – particularly in multi-tenanted buildings to overcome investment barriers to implementing energy efficiency. Panel to include:
Andre Fereirra (IPD); Brent Wiltshire or colleague (Old Mutual); Eric Noir (WSP/Green By Design); Lodine Redelinghuys (Eskom); Manfred Braune (Green Buildings Council of South Africa) and Paul Kollenberg (Growthpoint).
