Awareness Films and Talks is back!

This group is here to share lots of great information and ideas about how to change our world for the better.  We examine and discuss social, environmental challenges and solutions affecting all the creatures who share this planet.  The format is to have a guest film and/or speaker and interactive discussion mixed with food and drink.  Just the sort of creative mind candy we need to drive positive action.  This is open to anyone to contribute and help share and drive change.  This month we are showing the following film.

Who Killed the Electric Car?

This 2006 documentary film explores the creation, limited commercialization, and subsequent destruction of the battery electric vehicle in the United States, specifically the General Motors EV1 of the mid 1990s.

The film explores the roles of automobile manufacturers, the oil industry, the US government, the Californian government, batteries, hydrogen vehicles, and consumers in limiting the development and adoption of this technology. For the full wikipedia on the film click here.
