A recent Creamer Media- Engineering News article says that State-owned power company Eskom has confirmed that it will submit a tariff application to the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) in June for a time horizon that is longer than the three-year rotation offered under the multiyear price determination period (MYPD).

FD Paul O’Flaherty told Engineering News Online in an interview that the utility had not yet decided whether its third MYPD, or MYPD3, submission would be for a five- or a seven-year period.
